In 1913, a German man sent of a final postcard by a bottle thrown at sea. 101 years later, the message has reached its destination. Richard Platz wrote a message to the world on May 17, 1913, a year before the start of World War I, in which he lost his life. It was a postcard from Denmark,with two stamps of Germany.
The message contained a request for those who will find the bottle floating in the sea "send this to my address in Berlin".
Just over a century, the glass was to be found by some fishermen in northern Germany, near the port Heikendorf, according to "Daily Mail".
I was very excited when I saw it, "said Konrad Fischer, who first saw the bottle.
Until now, the oldest message sent through a bottle was found in 2012 and was 97 years old, according to Guinness World Records.
